MAKEITBLUE was created by a collective of events industry professionals who came together during the Covid lockdown to shine a light of positivity in a dark time.
Our mission, since forming a Community Interest Company in 2020, was to campaign and raise funds to support the mental health of events professionals, most importantly those suffering anxiety and stress through loss of work during, and as a result of, the pandemic.
We have worked with key mental health organisations, including EventWell, Dance Syndrome and Stagehand – the Production Services Association Welfare and Benevolent Fund.
MAKEITBLUE has now ceased active operations.
This website remains as a record of the advice, guidance and support from the hundreds of outstanding individuals, agencies and organisations that gave their time and energy to our campaigns. Together, we helped maintain awareness of those in our events industry facing mental health challenges.
Our final duty has been to divest the last of accrued donations to relevant mental health charitable bodies in our sector, who we know will continue to offer excellent assistance to those in need. The baton passes back to those organisations, and we would like to thank all of the caring, driven and passionate people who we have been honoured to work with.
